How audio is processed

Voice Anonymizer processes microphone audio locally in your browser. The extension applies voice anonymization in real time without sending microphone audio to developer-operated servers.

Data collection and accounts

  • - No account is required to use Voice Anonymizer.
  • - Microphone audio is not uploaded to developer servers.
  • - We do not sell personal data.

Local settings storage

Voice style choices, control values, and extension preferences are stored locally using Chrome storage so your setup persists across browser sessions.

Permissions and purpose

  • - storage: used to save local settings such as selected voice style and anonymization parameters.
  • - site/page context access: used only as required to process microphone streams for pages where voice input is active.

Third-party sharing

Voice Anonymizer does not share microphone audio or settings data with third parties for analytics, advertising, or resale.

Policy updates

We may update this policy when extension behavior or legal requirements change. Updates will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
